About

Maura Kintzer was maybe the only girl in California who never got yelled at to “CLEAN HER ROOM”! She not only had the cleanest room, but the most organized closets ever. She even organized her friend’s closets and of course was every mothers dream. But, it’s when she organized her own mother’s closet and than her mother’s best friend’s, that she had a business on her hands. Maura was 14.

After everyone was organized in her community, Maura branched out, organizing block parties in Hillcrest to organizing ushering groups for the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park. Words got around quickly that Maura could organize and facilitate just about anything.

At 16, Maura’s business really took off when she had the luxury of being able to add driving to her skills. Now, she was ready to really take on bigger jobs as she could travel further and be more independent. By the time Maura started off to college she had already paid for her first two years.

Ever since Maura started organizing closets, she would always make piles of clothing, one for charity, one for the tailor and another for the local resale shop. Maura of course, thought, why give it to someone else. It made perfect sense to her that there were two businesses to run.

So, after college, at 22, she not only continued to organize everyone she came in contact with, she opened Apple Box Resale, a women’s consignment business. Thirteen successful years later; she sold the business and moved to San Francisco.
